Meet Dr. Ligon and His Staff!
Dr. Ligon grew up in Denver, Colorado. He attended the University of Colorado and worked for Ball Brothers Research Corporation in their aerospace division for three years before attending Northwestern University Dental School. Following dental school he served two years in the US Navy as a dentist before returning to Colorado to practice dentistry, and has been practicing in Greeley ever since.
Dr. Ligon has always placed an emphasis on staying current in his field with continuing education. He is a member and past president of the Weld County Dental Society, a member of the Colorado Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and many other prominent dental associations.
He also believes in giving back to his local community. He has served on the Greeley Museum Board, he was a member and past President of the Hospice Board, serves as a member and was a past President of Greeley Redeye Rotary, was a volunteer for the School District Six Reading Program, has served as a Deacon of the First Congregational Church, and has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Greeley, Colorado for many years.
Dr. and Mrs. Ligon make a good team in life and also in the office. Behjat Ligon retired from Greeley School District 6 after over 20 years as a special education teacher, and is Dr. Ligon's Office Manager. Behjat has a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and has served the Weld County Community as a Volunteer for the Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity. She currently volunteers at the Northern Colorado Medical Center, and is a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for A Kid's Place, a non-profit organization working with Families and children placed in foster care.

Kelly Greenwood has been Dr. Ligon's dental assistant since 1994. She graduated from Colorado College of Medical and Dental Assisting in 1985, and was certified as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) though the Colorado University Dental Program in 1996. Kelly and her husband live in the Greeley area with their identical twin boys. She enjoys skiing, snowboarding, walking, gardening, and helping her patients maintain a healthy smile!

Teresa Templeton is the Front Office Manager and Finance Manager for Dr. Ligon, and is the newest addition to his team. She has Biology and Chemistry degrees from Metropolitan State College, graduating Cum Laude in both. Teresa has worked in dentistry since 1993, and is trained as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant as well as in management. Teresa and her husband live in Greeley, and she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and other family members, quilting, farming, and horseback riding.
Laura Peterson is Dr. Ligon’s dental hygienist. She graduated with an Associate's Degree of Applied Science in dental hygiene from Laramie County Community College in April 2009. Laura has worked in the dental field as an assistant in Fort Collins, Colorado, since 2004. Laura enjoys many different outdoor activites in Colorado including hiking, biking and camping. She also enjoys cooking and spending her free time with friends and family.

Mandy Sandoval is Dr. Ligon’s newest dental/office assistant. She graduated from Front Range Community College in May of 2008, as a dental assistant. Mandy would like to further her career in the dental field by becoming an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA). She enjoys going to the movies and spending time with family and friends.
